BICA CHITLANG 2023!
Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management is dedicated to pushing its students beyond their comfort zones and exposing them to the diverse experiences life has to offer. One such recent activity was the outdoor exam for the subject "Modernist Gastronomy," where 6th-semester Bachelors in International Culinary Arts (BICA) students were taken to Chitlang for a unique examination. This exam required them to purchase locally available ingredients and collaborate in preparing the menu as a group. There were several criteria to evaluate an individual and a team. It was a groundbreaking experience, unlike anything seen before in Nepal, in the world of culinary arts.
Since the inception of the Bachelor's in International Culinary Arts program three years ago, the school's mission has been to make a difference. The goal is not to produce ordinary chefs but to nurture leaders, innovators, disruptors, and change-makers who possess the audacity to create a positive impact on the world of culinary arts. The recent outdoor exam is just one example of the school's commitment to fostering creativity, adaptability, and boldness in its students. As Silver Mountain continues on this path, there is no doubt that the students' journey of exploration and transformation has only just begun.
Without the able leadership and nurturing of faculties, any dream projects are not possible. We, at Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management, are blessed to have student centric and empathetic faculties and trainers whose only aim is the wholesome growth of a student.We are forever grateful for this.
