Preserving the past sustainably!
Students of Silver Mountain engaged in a housekeeping practical class at the historic 200-year-old Daya Chhen. They learn the art of cleaning and maintaining this heritage gem using eco-friendly methods, steering clear of commercial chemicals. A lesson in heritage preservation and environmental responsibility.
Daya Chhen is a historical home of around two hundred years old. It is an ancestral home of late Dayaram Bhakta Mathema, patron and founder of Daya Foundation. It is part of an old row house concept in the heart of Ombahal Tole belonging to the Mathema family.
Thank you Daya Foundation for this opportunity and trusting us. We believe in taking our learning outside the classroom and this event helped to understand culture and practice what our students have learnt in the classroom.
