"Silver Mountain, Oh really!" is the response you get, when you are asked the most common question working in a hotel "From where did you do your hotel management?"
Primitive knowledge in college led the future of a person. Grooming is not only about proper attire and make up but it is how you present your brain with strategic knowledge and behavior to people; this is what I learned at Silver Mountain. From getting the opportunity in one of the world finest hotel, Four seasons Resort-Maldives to holding current position amongst Nepal's top hotel, Hyatt Regency. There were only a few BHM colleges when we joined Silver Mountain in 2006. It was the best then and quality education has always been in its legacy. It is an honor and pride to be a part of it.

I am always proud to be a part of Silver Mountain and it is my pleasure to contribute something from my side. My experience at Silver Mountain is the most important part of my life. Silver Mountain gave me the picture of what the hospitality industry would be like. It gave me an opportunity to polish my skill and prepared me to fit into that picture. I will always be thankful to all the teachers and Silver Mountain for the encouragement and guidance.

Joining Silver Mountain was the best decision of my life and I had an outstanding experience there. It built confidence in me which has helped me to tackle tough situations in life. Today I am running one of the leading education institutions of Sudur Pashchim Province which also successfully runs Hospitality Management Courses. I am very thankful towards Silver Mountain for grooming me.
The time I spent at Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management has proved to be the most valuable part of my personal and professional development. Due to the high-quality education that I received from SMSH, I managed to acquire an international internship at Grand Hyatt Dubai, successfully led the opening of 2 hotels in Central London (Whitbread) and co-founded Tracing Nepal – a unique travel experience. I cannot thank the faculty members enough for helping me learn in a balanced environment of “freedom with responsibility”. I am immensely proud to call myself a Silver Mountaineer and SMSH my second home.
What I liked about SMSH was its motto ‘Freedom with Responsibility’. It was a good year; a year of finding. SMSH gave me a lot in a very short time there, but what I will always cherish the most is the accessibility and willingness of faculties and alumni to connect and help secure many of the opportunities I received.”

My time in Silver Mountain not only taught me what is on the textbook but gave me invaluable life lessons through many tales of our wonderful teachers and internship opportunities at Ritz Carlton hotel and friends for life too. After graduation I moved to Ritz Carlton, Dubai and eventually to Marriott Beach Resort in the Grand Cayman Island. I stand confident on the amazing foundation laid by my college and I’d like to personally thank Tilak Sir, Chandan Sir and Saguna Ma'am. I shall be forever grateful to you all. Thank you for the experience of a lifetime.
“Freedom with responsibility” is what I learnt and this is what I have been implementing in my entrepreneurial journey. Be it internships or startups, Silver Mountain has always supported us in every possible way. It is our third successive year of AALUCHA, as a co-founder, our team is running two outlets in the valley itself and with its prosperous future in the industry, we are planning to add up a few more outlets in years to come . The knowledge that we gained from Silver Mountain has certainly pushed our motivation to the top notch level. And I am very grateful for the bonding that we have shared with our dear teachers even as alumni.
Currently, I am living my dream in Dubai working as a waitress in Asia Asia Restaurant. I am very passionate about my work and I love my profession. I have always enjoyed meeting new people and traveling new places. Hospitality as a career allows me to do all of my favorite things in my list.
The hard work of 4 years in Silver Mountain paid off well as I was trained by the best teachers. The skills I was given was a gift which gave me confidence and polished me to accomplish all the achievements I ever dreamed off. Working with diverse culture and people all around the world, I was proud to be nominated as the best waitress in Dubai by solution times last year. All I can say is a big thank you to Silver Mountain. I do aspire and have plans to become an entrepreneur one day by opening my own restaurant in Nepal.
Silver Mountain from day one has groomed us to be successful hospitality professionals, the experienced teaching faculty, the in-house college practical’s, the part time work in star hotels and the worldwide Internship opportunities have made us comfortable in this competitive world of Hospitality.
I did my first Internship in Four Seasons Resort at Langkawi, Malaysia. It was such a privilege to work with the team full of talent & harmony. I also worked as a Bartender in renowned clubs of K-Town, a big thanks to Kathmandu Flair Bartending Academy. Currently, I am working as a People & Culture officer in the luxurious resort, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. I am blessed to be a part of FS Landaa working with a dynamic team here where learning never stops.
Silver Mountain adopts a participatory method of teaching and learning through vigorous participation from both the students and teachers. A careful blend of traditional classroom, acquiring more contemporary tools and techniques of learning is a key to increasing overall learning efficiency. Studying at Silver Mountain has given us the right kind of a start to the future in hospitality.
Silver Mountain focuses on quality rather than quantity. Constant support from the faculties and friendly atmosphere of the college has helped me to excel both as a student and a human being. Days at Silver Mountain could be a bed of roses but there still are so many battles to be fought and won in life. It has helped us personally to enter the world of professionalism. Being it a reason, we have established a venture “Say Cheese” in Basantapur, Jhochhen from last September and currently being constantly involved in nurturing and growth of it. Moreover, we are also handling all the operations of Basantapur Food Court. We surely welcome the juniors who are
eager to learn about the initial startup ideas.
I joined Silver Mountain as a confused teenage kid who was unsure about her aspirations. However, it did not take me long to realize that it was where I belonged. The college didn’t just teach me the technicalities of the industry but motivated me to love and respect my profession. I admire Silver Mountain for bringing opportunities to get trained in top hospitality firms in the world. The interactive teaching approach and industrial exposure has equipped us with all the necessary skills to succeed in our professional life. Today, when i look back to my college days i feel really privileged to get such amazing faculties who taught with their personal experience going beyond textbooks, which is why nothing felt alien later at work. Getting an opportunity to work with one of the most luxurious resorts in the world “Four Seasons Resort Maldives”, it became more vivid about our level of preparedness as fresh graduates to work with such brands. Having said that, the willingness to learn and thirst to succeed has to always come from us. Silver Mountain is a platform full of opportunities, ears to listen to your difficulties and genuine concern to help you excel. However, it's upon us to grab the opportunities and shine brighter. Today I can proudly say, Silver Mountain is one of the best choices I have ever made in life.

Building up confidence is the most important lesson I got from SMSH and which matters a lot in the service industry. Hospitality industry, I say, is the live performing business where our actions are being watched every time either by guests or by coworkers. As you know, the lack of confidence in our industry is indirectly proportional to the working efficiency. I am thankful to SMSH that I don't have to run from unexpected situations which may occur in either my profession or personal life.
